Association “Education for Sustainable Development” (Reg. Nr. 40008119774) is approved and included in the Register of Associations and Foundations of Latvia in October 12, 2007.

Strategic planning of the association implies the research, educational and collaborative activities to promote the development of holistic strategy of sustainable development in education, ensuring development of educators’ professional mastery within both formal and non-formal education and enabling its adaptation to the needs of modern society.

Association “Education for Sustainable Development” is started the project "Capacity development for Association  Education for Sustainable Development". Aim of this project: to promote capacity of evaluation, development and collaboration of the Association “Education for sustainable development” and partner’s encouraging activity of the organization in the priority fields of bilateral financial instrument of EEZ and Norway government.

Project duration: Februar 01 2009- Januar 31 2010

Main activities: advancement of material and technical resources of the association, development and evaluation of internal environment, increase of staff’s capacity and development of professional mastery, exchange of experience and sustainable collaboration strategies facilitating efficient activities and development of the organization.

Project is financed by EEA and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism and State budget in NGO Capacity Strengthening Measure program.
